Domino Gaple Game

"Gaple Dominoes" is a popular Indonesian version of the domino block game that uses a set of two to six dominoes. The game is played by 4 or 5 players. This version is designed for 4 players. Each player receives 6 tiles at the beginning of each round, and one tile is placed in the center to start the layout. The remaining 3 tiles are set aside and are not used in the round. In the first round, the player is chosen at random to make the first move. Subsequent rounds are started by the winner of the previous round. The player in turn places the corresponding tile on one of the two ends of the layout. If the player is unable to play, he must drop the tile face down. Tiles dropped by the player count against him in the scoring at the end of each round. A round in a game of Domino Gaple, ends if a player has played all his tiles. A round may also end if the game is blocked and no player can play a tile. All players individually count the number of unplayed chips and discarded chips, if any. The player with the lowest number of pips wins the round. Points are awarded to the player by counting the difference in the number of his/her pips and each of the other players who have more points in that round.
