Double Pyramid Solitaire

A double spread of cards forms two pyramid layouts, pulling arithmetic into the middle of the table. In Double Pyramid Solitaire, the full deal uses 104 cards from two standard decks, and the puzzle asks for exact pair values instead of suit runs or long stacks. Prime-number practice slips into every move because exposed cards leave only one useful target: another rank that joins them for a total of 13.

How to play?

Remove exposed cards in matching value pairs that add up to 13. Pair a 2 with a Jack, a 3 with a 10, a 4 with a 9, a 5 with an 8, a 6 with a 7, and a Queen with an Ace. A King leaves the layout alone because its value already reaches 13. The top line holds ten cards, then each lower line drops by one. Draw from the stock when no available match appears in the layout. Return to the stock whenever needed, but each draw uses one move.
