Worm: Apple Quest

In the game "Worm: Apple Quest," you will meet a little worm that crawls through crossings and corridors in search of a golden apple. It crawls through cells, looks around corners, and searches for places to squeeze through. This is a snake game, but the levels are designed so that the length of the body changes the situation on the field. Sometimes a short worm can easily squeeze through narrow gaps, while a long one opens up more paths to bypass chasms. Therefore, each apple you find changes the configuration of your route. The locations feature straight paths and awkward bends where you need to estimate how much space the body will take up. The worm grows gradually, so you can see how the space around it changes and which cells become inaccessible. The more complex the path, the more accurately you have to choose the direction so as not to get tangled up in a knot.

How to play

Move the worm through the cells. It moves immediately in the chosen direction, so watch where the next turn leads. Pick up simple apples, increasing the length of your body, and assess where you can now crawl through. If there is a narrow corridor ahead, turn around in advance so you don't get stuck. Sometimes it is more profitable to pick up an apple later, so examine the path before you start moving. Plan your route to the golden apple, combining short sections and wider passages. If your body is blocking the exit, restart the level and try a different order of collection. Go through the stages one by one, picking convenient points for turns and gradually finding the safest way to the goal.
