Wonder Boy in Monster World

Monsters have smashed through villages and spread across nearby kingdoms. Shion answers the attack with a sword, quick footwork, and a trip far beyond home in Wonder Boy in Monster World. The hero may look small, yet fights fast enough to pressure enemy lines. People met along the road aren't background decoration. Speak with them, and help comes in different forms. A few lend support against the invading creatures. A few grow into close allies during the story.

How to play?

Cut down monsters to earn coins for gear. Spend that money on stronger weapons, sturdier armor, magic, and first-aid kits. Health also returns at certain spots placed along the route. Enemy strength rises later, which makes preparation part of every trip before the next fight.
