The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb

Isaac drops through a hatch in his bedroom floor, landing hard in a basement packed with old pipes and weird stains on the walls. He’s got nothing but the tears in his eyes and whatever he manages to grab as he crawls deeper. Down here, the hallways twist in every direction, and sometimes there’s a locked door or a strange statue blocking the way. Monsters shuffle out from dark corners—some just blobs, others with way too many eyes. It’s not the kind of place anyone would choose to visit, but Isaac doesn’t have much choice.

How to play?

While playing The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb, you move Isaac with the arrow keys, and he fires tears at enemies (yep, actual tears) with the other keys. You’ll find all sorts of pickups lying around: coins, keys, hearts, and the odd item that changes how Isaac looks—sometimes he gets a new hat, sometimes a third eye appears. If you step into a treasure room, there’s usually something helpful inside, but some rooms are full of traps or tougher monsters. Boss fights happen at the end of each floor, and the patterns can get pretty wild. If Isaac runs out of health, you’re right back at the start. Oh, and some power-ups feel completely random—last time I played, Isaac grew a pair of horns. Not sure what that was about. Anyway, watch out for spikes, and try to guess what that pill does before you use it.
