Runic Curse

Runic Curse is an exciting Metroidvania-style action RPG set on a cursed island. A group of travelers is caught in a storm on the open sea and shipwrecked. Adrian, a member of the crew, regains consciousness on an unknown island where the so-called Runic Curse has taken place. It is up to him to find out the fate of his crew and uncover the secrets of this place with a terrible fate. The game offers a dynamic combat system with stamina control and rolls that give frames of invulnerability. You will explore ten vast locations with a variety of enemies, each area having its own unique boss. There are deep RPG elements, including a level system with selective stat improvements, equipment, and abilities to access previously unreachable areas. A unique feature of the game is the many options for combining melee weapons with magic runes, creating a unique play style for each player. There are over fifty types of spells, a crafting system for consumable runes, and rune upgrades for weapons. The game is constantly being updated and refined by the developers. Additional modes are available, such as unlimited New Game+ for replaying with saved progress and Boss Rush mode for testing your skills against a series of bosses. The button layout can be customized for comfortable control.

How to play

Control Adrian as you explore the dark locations of the cursed island. Use the dynamic combat system, keeping an eye on your stamina gauge during attacks and dodges. Roll at the right moment to gain frames of invulnerability and avoid enemy attacks. Fight a variety of enemies, studying their attack patterns and weaknesses. Level up your character through the level system, selectively improving strength, stamina, and other parameters. Equip found armor to increase your defense and gain additional bonuses. Combine different types of melee weapons with magic runes to create your own fighting style. Experiment with more than fifty-five types of spells to find effective combinations. Unlock new abilities that allow you to reach previously inaccessible areas of the map. Use the crafting system to create consumable runes and upgrade weapon runes. Defeat powerful bosses in each of the ten locations to earn valuable rewards. After completing the main story, try New Game+ mode to play with stronger enemies, or test yourself in Boss Rush mode, fighting a series of bosses in a row. Customize the control button layout to your preferences for the most comfortable gameplay experience.
