In the game "Mystery of the Ancient Fairy Tale: The Way Home," the hero wanted to write his own fairy tale, but fell asleep right at his desk and woke up far from home. Instead of his room, he’s surrounded by an ancient forest, strange places, quiet rustling sounds, and magic that clearly won’t let him go just like that. To escape, he’ll have to understand the rules of this world and find his way to the portal.

This game is a cool combination of escape, hidden object, and fairy-tale puzzle genres. Here, you need to carefully examine the locations, notice small details, and collect everything that might come in handy. The forest gradually reveals new areas, and the items you find help the hero move closer to home step by step.

How to play?

Examine the screen carefully. The item you need might be lying on a path, hidden among details, or appear after solving a puzzle. Found an item? Add it to your inventory and think about where it might come in handy later. Select an item from your inventory and click on the appropriate spot. A key can unlock a lock, a wolf’s fang can activate an old mechanism, and a found symbol can hint at the right move. On a computer, you can drag some items with the mouse; on a phone, simply select the item and tap the desired area. Solve puzzles and move between locations. In one part of the forest, you can find a clue; in another, an item needed to solve it. In this fairy-tale puzzle game, everything is interconnected, so return to old locations if you find something new.

If you get stuck, tap the hint button in the top-right corner of the screen. The game will tell you where to look next or which item to try. This is helpful when it seems like you’ve checked everything, but one important piece is still hidden. Collect finds, unlock new paths, and solve the forest’s mysteries. When the right items are in their places, the portal will open, and the hero will be able to return home.
