NES Games: Lode Runner

A treasure hunter with a professor's day job heads underground for gold. In NES Games: Lode Runner, the scholar crosses guarded brick chambers in search of scattered bars, moving through ladders and ledges without any jumps at all. His odd advantage sits in the ground ahead of him. A quick dig cuts a hole into the floor and drops a guard into a trap, buying room to slip past and continue the raid. One grab won't finish the job. Gold lies across the whole area, and capture ends the run on the spot.

How to play?

Move through the maze and pick up every bar before heading for the exit. Watch enemy patrols closing in from nearby platforms and ladders. Dig into the brick in front of the runner when a guard blocks the route. Pass by during the brief opening, then continue toward the remaining treasure. Reaching for gold too early can leave no path back out. Get caught once, and the attempt resets.
