Dino Digger
In the game "Dino Digger," you head underground in a train-shaped drilling machine to search for fossilized dinosaur remains. On this journey, you’re accompanied by Mr. Conductor from the animated series of the same name. He tells you what to do and, along the way, explains about the ancient animals whose fossils remain and the creatures that live deep underground. Among them are the troglobites, local underground dwellers who know where the treasures are hidden and are happy to show you the way. You’ll have to dig through soft soil, hard rocks, and mineral deposits, keeping an eye on your fuel and the condition of your drill. On each level, you need to find a certain number of fossils, and only then will the next level unlock.
How to play?
Control the drill with the mouse or arrow keys. On the right is a gauge that lights up when you get close to a fossil. Another indicator is located on the train itself in the upper-right corner and also lights up near a find. On the left, you can see how much energy you have left. Fuel is consumed with every movement, and you can replenish it by collecting diamonds. Rocks are harder to drill through, so it’s best to go around them; if you have no other choice, tackle them only when you have plenty of energy to spare. The drill wears out over time, and its condition is indicated by the pointer on the gauge in the upper-right corner. When it drops into the red zone, urgently look for a mineral to repair the drill; otherwise, it will break and you’ll have to return to the surface. The harder the mineral, the better it repairs the drill. If you don’t know where to go, move the train toward the troglobite. It will use arrows to show you the direction to the nearest fossil.
