Minesweeper Remake

A compact minefield fills the screen with 126 covered squares arranged in a 9 by 14 layout. Minesweeper Remake uses plain visuals and tracks roughly 25 bombs per round, with the total shifting by two in either direction. The remaining mine total appears in the top right. A timer sits above the grid. Flags change that mine number only when they mark the right square, and any wrong flags can be removed later.

How to play?

Reveal a covered square to carve out the first safe area. Early moves may require a guess before enough numbered tiles appear. Blank gray spaces mean no bomb touches that square, and the eight neighboring cells can be uncovered from there until numbered tiles stop the spread. Use nearby digits to narrow down which covered spots hold mines and which spots stay safe. Groups of adjacent numbers can be read together like a matrix, narrowing the remaining options. At certain points, progress still depends on a guess. Pick the square with the lower risk when the odds differ, such as a one-in-five chance over three-in-four. Press the checkbox button to place a flag on a suspected mine. Remove the mark if the square was flagged by mistake. The reload button waits in the upper left for a fresh board.
