Mahjong Solitaire

Across the table, stacked tiles form a Shanghai-style layout of 144 pieces. In Mahjong Solitaire, bamboo symbols, circles, characters, winds, dragons, flowers, and seasons cover the pyramid, and the whole round fits into a 10-minute puzzle race with score values tied to the tile set.

How to play?

Match two free tiles and lift them from the stack, removing every piece from the table before the timer runs out; identical symbols pair together, and flowers or seasons also pair within their own special groups even without matching artwork. Points rise by set type, with seasons paying the most, flowers next, then dragons and winds, followed by the numbered suits. Side blocks or tiles resting above a piece stop the pick, which means each choice has to uncover later pairs and break down the layout in the right order.
