What a Walk

In What a Walk, you control a goofy character with extra-long, floppy legs. He steps across bridges, jumping platforms, and narrow planks, and the whole world feels like a strange obstacle path where each step covers almost half the distance. The mood is light and playful, and the entire road is set up as a chain of small challenges: first a gap, then a swinging platform, then a flag that turns into a respawn point. This is a physics-based arcade game, so the legs move unpredictably, which is where all the fun comes from.

How to play?

Pull one leg back, pick the spot where you want to place it, and let go. Then pull the other leg back to move forward and try not to fall into the water. In this casual walking arcade game, it is important to feel the moment when your footing shifts slightly, so watch how the character sets their foot down and choose your next step based on that. Flags are placed in different areas of the map, and when you hit one, it becomes a new checkpoint. If you fall, What a Walk sends you back to the last checkpoint you reached.

In tougher sections, the gaps get wider, and you have to stretch your leg farther, trying to land right on the edge of the platform. Sometimes the path is tilted, and the character leans, so it can help to put your foot down a bit earlier. In a physics game like this, it is easier to orient yourself by the distance between the supports, then try different leg positions and find a comfortable rhythm. As you move forward, you unlock new levels and gradually get used to how your feet react. See how far you can go by experimenting with your stride length and how quickly you release your foot, and go as far as you can.
