It is better to move the dots step by step, leaving space for bigger rearrangements. Sometimes it helps to clear one part of the field in advance so it is easier to manage the rest. This way, you can set up a sequence of moves and quickly build the color order you need. With each new task, there are more dots and less free space, so the challenge slowly increases.
