Railway Bridge 2
Railway Bridge 2 is the next game in the bridge building series, and this time everything takes place in brand new locations around the world. You will end up between city blocks, high on mountain slopes, in the scorching desert, and in other unusual places. The game has 70 levels, and each one has its own conditions and landscape for you to deal with. This updated version also expands your builder tools in a big way. Instead of three basic part types, there are now ten options. You get wooden beams of different thicknesses, several types of steel elements, improved asphalt road sections, and special fixed posts that go directly into the ground. The material system works differently now too. Instead of a limited number of pieces, you work with in-game money, like on a real construction project. At the start of the game you receive a set amount of money. Every material has its own price, and when you place a part, its cost is taken from your budget. The more carefully you build, the longer your money will last across all the levels.
How to play?
If you run out of money, you can go back to levels you already finished and try to rebuild those bridges more cheaply, using fewer parts. The money you save is returned to your account, and on top of that you get a 30 percent bonus on the amount you managed to save. At the bottom of the screen there is a panel with all the building materials and their prices. Click the arrow to open it. Pick the part you want, then click on the first point on the screen and drag a line to the next point. That creates one bridge element. Keep connecting the points until the whole bridge is finished. When you build, think about both strength and cost. Wooden parts are cheaper, but not very strong, so use them for side supports and less critical spots. Metal parts are more expensive, but they handle heavy loads, so put them in the most important places. Special posts can be placed vertically from the ground up, they give extra support and are especially useful on long spans. Watch your spending, every piece you add costs money. If you place something wrong, click the hammer icon, the part will be removed and your money for that piece will be refunded. When the bridge is ready, press the start button. In this part of the bridge construction game, the challenge is higher, several vehicles will cross your bridge at once instead of just one. That puts a lot more strain on your structure. If the bridge holds and all the vehicles reach the other side, you win. If it collapses or sags too much, you will have to rebuild it. Try adding more supports where it is weak or putting metal beams in places where they are missing.
