Cupid Unchained

Cupid Unchained is a physics-based bow game that drops you into a world where a tiny winged hero is trapped alone with a maze of dangerous contraptions. Cupid flies through each level with a bow in hand, looking for a way to help people who are chained up. Prisoners hang on ropes, stand on platforms, or are wedged between moving mechanisms. Time is running out, so you cannot stall. If you miss a shot, the chain stays intact, and your chances of saving everyone go down. Cupid has already broken his own chains, and now his goal is to shoot precisely and figure out the smartest way to break the chains of others. Blocks, spikes, wooden beams, and other objects appear in the levels and change how the arrow flies.

How to play?

Hold down the mouse button or your finger on the screen to move the crosshair, then pull back to choose the direction and strength of your shot. Release and the arrow flies in an arc, hits objects along the way, and can change its trajectory. Chains only break from a direct hit, and the prisoner is freed instantly. Sometimes it is easier to shoot in a straight line, and sometimes it is better to bounce the arrow off a wall or beam. Watch what is around your target. The arrow can hit something extra, trigger a mechanism, or miss completely, so look over the whole level first by moving the camera and picking a good angle. The timer is always ticking down, so act fast and avoid wasting shots. If you miss, quickly correct your aim and fire again. On harder stages, several chains appear at different heights. In that case, it helps to free the people blocking your view first, then move on to the rest. Since the arrows follow real physics, this shooting puzzle is often solved in unusual ways. Sometimes a single accurate shot can free several prisoners at once.
