Uncle Vasya: Zombies in the Yard
One hot summer day, a barrel of refreshing kvass was delivered to an ordinary residential courtyard, but the drink turned out to be a strange green color. By evening, all the neighborhood residents had turned into the walking dead. In the game “Uncle Vasya: Zombies in the Yard,” you’ll meet the sole survivor—a local handyman who spent the whole day fixing a cart in his garage and didn’t drink any kvass. Using this cart, the hero builds a tall tower on wheels, where each new block functions as a separate weapon. The automated structure moves on its own and shoots the monsters autonomously. You’ll have to complete 12 stages and make your way through three large areas, including a neighborhood of prefab apartment blocks with a department store, an industrial zone with cranes, and a summer cottage community. The journey will take exactly one day, and at the end of each location, giant bosses await you—a reanimated Khrushchev-era apartment building, a factory, and an old water pump.
How to Play?
Defeating the advancing zombies depends on choosing the right ability cards at the bottom of the screen as your energy builds up. You can activate a flying bomb, a hurricane-like burst of fire, sharp saws, a destructive thunderstorm, summon a corn-cob robot, or fire a volley of fireworks. Remember that each of these superpowers only appears in the menu if your tower has the required type of cannon. Zombies can climb onto each other’s shoulders and scale the building’s floors all the way up to Uncle Vasya himself, so drop explosives in time to clear the walls. Infected kiosks, kvass barrels, and buses will completely block your path until you smash them. Check the garage after every run—even if your tower breaks, you’re guaranteed to keep all the gold coins you’ve earned. Spend your gold on machine guns, flamethrowers, saws, sledgehammer cannons, and fireworks, and upgrade your armor and damage stats. Focus first on reinforcing the bottom blocks of your structure—they always take the brunt of the advancing horde’s attack—and make your way to the final summer cottage to destroy the source of the infection.
