City Constructor

The game “City Constructor” puts you behind the wheel of heavy construction equipment—excavators, cranes, dump trucks, and other machines—without which the construction site simply can’t get off the ground. It’s not enough to just press buttons—you have to think ahead: calculate the correct trajectory, choose the bucket’s turning angle or the load’s lifting height to transport fragile pipes, loose materials, or heavy blocks without losing anything along the way. The game’s locations include various urban construction sites in densely built-up areas, mountain passes with challenging terrain, industrial sites, and road repair zones—and each requires its own specific equipment and tactics. The physics are highly detailed: the cargo in the bed behaves realistically, the bucket interacts tangibly with the ground, and the crane reacts noticeably to the wind, so you have to drive the vehicle carefully and with precision.

How to Play?

There are five locations in the game, with twenty-four levels in each. It’s best to start with the mountainous location—the tasks there are simple at first, and you’ll have plenty of time to get used to controlling the different vehicles. You can control the vehicles by swiping the screen or using the keyboard, whichever is more convenient for you. Each machine has its own role: use the excavator to dig trenches and pits, selecting the right bucket for the type of soil; use the bulldozer to clear the site and level the ground; use the loader to move bulk materials over short distances; and use the dump truck to transport soil and building materials wherever they’re needed. In levels involving work at heights, you’ll need to switch to a tower crane—where precision down to the centimeter is crucial, since you must lift and lower the load exactly where it’s needed without hitting anything nearby. Before tackling a difficult task, it’s a good idea to practice on an easy level in the same location; this makes it easier to get a feel for how the machine responds to your controls, since sudden movements often lead to losing the load or even tipping the machine over. On urban construction sites, you need to proceed with extra caution due to the tight spaces and proximity of buildings; when building a bridge, you must precisely position the supports over the water; and in the mountains, you’ll need to maneuver over uneven terrain, carving a path through the rocks. Complete each task one by one and advance through the levels; if you’re stuck on a particular stage, you can always skip it by watching a short ad.
