Woods of Nevia: Forest Survival
Woods of Nevia: Forest Survival is an adventure survival simulator with RPG elements, where you end up alone in a wild forest with only an axe to start with. This open-world survival game mixes exploration, combat with hostile creatures, shelter building, and a character progression system with leveling and skill upgrades. You will search for mushrooms and useful items to stay alive, explore the forest for supply chests, chop down trees to build a house, and set up a campfire. The game uses a dynamic difficulty system where enemies gradually grow stronger after each resurrection, so you need to keep developing your character. When you level up, you choose one of three random upgrades that improve your armor and skills. The experience you earn also helps you climb the leaderboard. There are quests from local residents with rewards for completing them, cooking in a pot, gardening, and boss battles. You can save your progress at any time, and combat has a strategic side: if an enemy is too strong, you can retreat, restore your health, and come back later.
How to play?
Control your character with the keyboard and mouse on your computer, or use the on screen joysticks on your phone. The character moves based on the camera angle. Click on objects to interact with them or pick them up, and click on enemies to mark them as targets. The character attacks automatically when at the right distance. Collect edible mushrooms so you do not starve. Useful items are picked up automatically when you touch them or click nearby. Mushrooms are eaten automatically when picked up if the character is hungry, otherwise they go into your inventory. Watch the hunger bar, because your health drops when it is empty. Health is restored when the character is full, but not while running or fighting.
At night, the forest gets cold, and the character starts to freeze. Build a fire or go into a house to warm up. If the character freezes completely, they lose health. Chests can contain healing potions, food supplies, unique items, and clothing. Everything you find can be used right away or stored in your inventory. Chop down trees to get logs. When you are holding a log, build and craft buttons become available. A campfire speeds up health regeneration, scares off enemies that fear fire, and keeps you warm at night. Build a house where health regenerates even faster and enemies stop attacking, although those already chasing you can run inside. Stack logs in the house to build upgrades such as a bed that lets you speed up time, or a fireplace for extra heat.
Throw wood on the fire to keep it burning by walking up to it with a log in your hands. To cook food, place a pot on the fire when you have both a log and a pot in your inventory. Hunt wild animals or run away from them. Gain experience for every action, level up, and improve your character's skills. Help the locals and collect rewards. If your character dies, you can revive them, but you lose some of your items. Enemies also revive over time and return to their habitats, becoming stronger. Stay well-fed to keep your health high and your regeneration going.
