Your task is to help Queen Eteria restore peace to her kingdom. Hell's Gate is an ancient portal through which evil has crept in, and now you must fight to defeat it. At the beginning of the game, you have access to three different heroes: Vifraff, Etheria, and the Skull Knight. Each of the heroes is good in their own way and each has their own magical abilities. You will fight on different lands and you will need to defeat evil orcs, demons, skeletons, and other creatures from hell. In each mission, your hero will be accompanied by a squad of warriors who train and go into battle on their own. With the experience points you earn, you can learn new spells for your hero to make him more effective in battle. Also, as you progress through the game, new warriors and artifacts will become available for your hero.
