Solar System Scope
The night sky hangs over any place on Earth. In Solar System Scope, that view follows real-time orbital data from NASA satellites. Planets, stars, and moons appear in measured positions, with color and texture tuned to Hubble photographs. Far reaches of the Solar System and deeper space stay within reach from the same screen. An observatory view brings out distant constellations and faint lights that ordinary skywatching misses. A built-in encyclopedia covers 19 languages and gives object-specific facts for each body in the Solar System. Space fans, classrooms, and research-minded users all have room here.
How to play?
Choose a point on Earth to examine the sky from that location. Shift time backward or forward to compare past and future sky positions. Enter the observatory and inspect constellations or faraway stars through a telescope-style view. Pick a planet, moon, or star to read its reference entry. Move across the system to compare scale, distance, and placement between celestial bodies.
