Seal It Up: Jar Sort
The granddaughter has come to visit her grandma for summer vacation, which means it’s time to help her with the preserves. Summer in the village in the game “Seal It Up: Jar Sort” begins with a warm welcome at the wooden cottage, where Grandma Nyura is already waiting for Masha: “Mashenka, my granddaughter! How you’ve grown! Come on in quickly—I’ll feed you some pies.” Then the two of them find themselves in the kitchen, where jars, cucumbers, tomatoes, and berries are lined up on the table, and the vegetable garden is lush and green outside the window. Grandma smiles and says that this year’s harvest is quite good, but her hands aren’t what they used to be. Masha doesn’t hesitate and immediately offers to help Grandma, but she can’t manage it alone, so she’ll need your help. Help the granddaughter sort the preserves into jars and spruce up Grandma’s kitchen so that preparing supplies for the winter will be even more enjoyable.
How to play?
First, select a jar by tapping or clicking, then click on the one you want to transfer the contents to. Put the cucumbers with the cucumbers, the cherries with the cherries, and the mushrooms with the mushrooms. You can only transfer preserves to a jar with the same contents or to an empty jar, if there’s room in it. When a jar is filled with one type of preserve, click on the lid to screw it on, then click on the label, and the finished jar will go to the pantry. Grandma Nyura will be delighted, because now she won’t mix up her supplies in the winter. The “Undo” button helps you correct a wrong move, “+ Jar” adds an empty jar, “Shuffle” lets you start sorting over, and the light bulb hints at the next move. The game has 30 levels, divided into three chapters: “Vegetable Garden,” “Orchard,” and “Forest.” After these, the endless chapter “Stocking Up” unlocks. Gradually, sorting the preserves becomes more challenging: fogged-up jars appear, making the bottom layers invisible; there are jars hanging on a string and hidden under a towel; and a sideboard that opens after sealing the required number of jars. For each level completed, Grandma gives stars, which Masha spends on renovating the kitchen. You can choose new wallpaper, polka-dot curtains, a samovar, a cuckoo clock, and eight other interior items. Finished preserves are collected in the pantry, and these unlock helpful recipes. The first to become available is apricot jam—“like sunshine in a jar”—followed by raspberry, strawberry, cherry, and currant jams. Jars marked with question marks hide recipes that will become available later. At the shop, you can buy hints and extra jars with coins, and a new gift is available every day in the game. Help Grandma with her preserves and make her happy with a renovated kitchen.
