Behind the Wheel of Change

"Behind the Wheel of Change" is a retro racing game inspired by the classic Need for Speed games of the late 1990s, dedicated to Soviet cars and the picturesque landscapes of Russia. The game offers multiplayer races featuring participants from around the world in iconic domestic cars across various regions of the country. You have a collection of rare cars at your disposal: VAZ-21099 (nine), Zaporozhets, UAZ-452 (loaf), VAZ-2106 (six), VAZ-2108 (eight), and VAZ-2103, each with unique characteristics. The tracks represent different regions of Russia, each with detailed descriptions, ranging from the forest-tundra and the Ural Mountains to the Black Sea coast and the Saratov hills. The game features detailed graphics with rich settings that allow you to adjust performance to suit any computer. The nostalgic style of the 1990s is complemented by breathtaking landscapes of Russian nature, which can distract you from the road with their beauty.
How to play?
The controls are adapted for different platforms: WASD keys for the keyboard, triggers and left stick for the gamepad, and on-screen buttons for mobile devices. In the settings, you can adjust the sound, music, environment, and a wide range of graphics parameters. You start with a VAZ-21099, gradually unlocking new cars as you level up. The progression system is based on earning experience for race placements and drift points. Each race features six drivers, including you, who compete on narrow roads on various maps. The main goal is to finish first to gain maximum experience and level up quickly. Additional points are awarded for drifting through corners, which speeds up character development. The higher your place and the more drift points you earn per race, the faster you level up and unlock new cars and tracks. Each map starts in the forest tundra and gradually expands to include the Ural Mountains, the Black Sea, the Saratov Hills, and other picturesque regions of Russia.
