One fine day, a sunbeam fell to the ground and a flower grew in that spot. It was no ordinary flower, but a magical one—it granted eternal life and youth. One fine moment, this flower was found by the old woman Gothel, who was an evil sorceress who used the flower for her own benefit.

Years passed, and the queen who lived in the castle where the flower grew fell ill with an unknown disease. To cure the queen, a magic flower was needed to make a magic potion. The magic flower was found, and the queen recovered and gave birth to a lovely daughter, Rapunzel, with golden hair.

The joy in the kingdom did not last long until an evil witch stole the little girl because of her magical hair. The witch settled with Rapunzel in a remote tower and began to use her magical hair for her own benefit.
