Need for Speed: Most Wanted

The game “Need for Speed: Most Wanted” is a full-fledged browser version of the iconic 2005 racing game, which served as the next installment in the series following *Underground* and *Underground 2*. The action takes place during the day in the fictional city of Rockport, where street races coexist with real police chases. The protagonist arrives in town in a BMW M3 GTR and quickly gets acquainted with the local racing scene. Mia Townsend, driving a Mazda RX-8, challenges him to a race, and his victory catches the attention of Sergeant Cross—who heads the street racing task force—and his Chevrolet Corvette. The protagonist then challenges Clarence “Razor” Callahan, who rounds out the Blacklist of Rockport’s fifteen most notorious racers. Razor stages a breakdown and takes the BMW, while the protagonist is detained by the police. Now you’ll have to rebuild your reputation from scratch, work your way up the Blacklist, and get your car back. Rockport is open for free exploration between events. Part of the city is locked at the start and unlocks as you progress, and the streets are dotted with shops, car dealerships, hideouts, and places to hide from the cops. Unlike in previous installments, nitro now replenishes constantly rather than being depleted to zero.

How to Play?

To challenge the next racer from the Blacklist, you need to win a certain number of races, complete chase achievements, and reach a high enough wanted level. For defeating an opponent, you can choose a reward—whether it’s the opponent’s car, tuning parts, or chase bonuses. Various race types are available: circuit races, point-to-point sprints, drag races, elimination rounds, speed trials with checkpoints, and toll races. Speed is boosted by nitro and time slow-motion, which helps you navigate turns or break through barriers. The police can intervene both during free-roam and in the middle of a race. The longer the chase, the higher the wanted level and the tougher the cops get: they set up roadblocks and spike strips, and deploy heavy SUVs, federal vehicles, and helicopters. You can escape the chase using chase traps—objects that turn the surroundings into a trap for your pursuers, such as water towers and construction scaffolding. The tracks feature jumps and shortcuts. Cars are purchased at dealerships and won in races, then customized in the garage. You can upgrade the engine, nitro, suspension, tires, and brakes, as well as customize bumpers, the hood, spoilers, rims, decals, and body color. Defeat all fifteen racers and reclaim your BMW M3 GTR.
