Asphalt Retro
Old-school racing fans will recognize Asphalt Retro right away. The game sticks to classic illegal street races through real-world locations like New York, Paris, London, Syracuse, Egypt, Vladivostok, Tokyo, and the famous Route 66. Races unfold on closed circuits and city roads packed with regular traffic and rival cars, so every track turns into a busy highway sprint. The whole vibe leans into retro arcade racing, with simple controls, direct goals, and a focus on speed instead of complex tuning. Racing in Asphalt feels fast and direct. A race always means pushing through city streets or highways while dodging traffic and trying to outrun other cars. The police are not a separate mode here; the illegal racing style explains why traffic remains active during races rather than being blocked off. Races take place in varied weather and lighting conditions, depending on the city and route featured in the current event.
How to play?
Pick between the two main modes: Fast Race and Adventure. Fast Race launches an instant event where the game chooses a random car and random track, then drops you into a circular race against several AI racers. This mode is ideal for quick sessions, since you skip menus and go straight to driving. The Adventure mode gives more control. First, select one of the unlocked tracks where the adventure starts. After that, choose a legendary car from the lineup: Phantom, Nebula, or Quasar. Paint the car in any available color, then confirm that you're ready to head into the street.
During an Asphalt race, control the car, overtake rivals, and avoid city traffic. Illegal racing rules mean traffic keeps moving, so any careless lane change can cause a crash or spinout that slows you down. Use nitrous oxide to trigger short bursts of extra speed on straight sections or when exiting sharp turns. The nitro gauge sits at the bottom of the screen, and each activation burns a part of that bar. Keep an eye on the mini HUD, react early to corners, and keep your line clean through bends to stay ahead in this racing game.

- Choose a car color that contrasts with the road so your vehicle stands out visually in traffic.
