Pong Original

Arcade history begins with a ball crossing a black court. In Pong Original, two vertical paddles trade shots across the screen in a tennis-style match, and the first side to reach 10 points wins. A point goes on the board when the rival fails to return the ball. Allan Alcorn created it, and Atari released it in 1972. Arcades picked it up fast. A home edition followed in 1975 and sold 150,000 units. That early success showed publishers that video games could sell on a large scale, which is why this 1970s classic still appears on modern screens.

How to play?

Choose a match against the computer or bring in a second player for head-to-head play. Before the first serve, pick a control setup and set the bot to easy, medium, or hard if solo mode is active. During rallies, move the paddle into the ball's path and send returns back across the court. Miss a shot, and the other side gets the point.
