Road Monopoly

Cash piles up at the table as drivers circle a road-themed property board in Road Monopoly. Roads, stations, and utility spaces replace the usual real-estate setup, and the match follows official Monopoly rules instead of house variations. Money leads the race. Bankruptcy knocks rivals out, and the last solvent player stands on top. Settings include music on or off, an extra rules screen, and seven different boards. Sessions support 2 to 6 players, with 3 to 5 fitting the pace best. Most kids around age 8 and up can pick up the basics. Board spaces cover more than purchases. Some spots collect rent, some pay cash, some draw from the card pile, and jail still interrupts a good run.

How to play?

Gather the group and move around the board, buying a road, station, or utility when your token stops there and the printed price fits your cash. The banker hands over ownership after the payment. Landing on a rival's deed triggers rent from that card, with charges rising farther along the board. Complete a color set to claim a monopoly and double rent even before any buildings go up. Houses come next. Build on the full set using the prices printed on each deed, placing one on every property evenly until all three carry four houses. Swap those four houses for a hotel through the bank to push rent much higher, with the Mediterranean Avenue jump from $2 to $160 showing how sharp the increase gets. Crossing the GO corner adds $200 to your funds. Some groups also pay that bonus on a direct landing, though official rules only award it for passing the space.
