How to play?

Find 2 to 6 players. Monopoly is best played in small groups of 3 to 5 people, but 2 to 8 people can play. Most people over the age of 8 or so can easily learn the rules of the game of Monopoly. Take a look at the place you have come to. Monopoly has many different businesses. Most of them are properties that you can buy or pay rent for, but some require you to draw a card from the stack, collect money, or even go to jail. Buy a property when you're staying on it. If you stop at a place with a colored stripe on top, a railroad, or a utility, you can buy real estate for the amount indicated on the board. The banker, in turn, gives the player ownership of that property. Most players recommend buying any property you can. If you land on someone else's property, you must pay them the rent listed on the title card for that property. The rent starts low on the first side of the board and goes up to the last side.

Buy all the properties in a color group to get a monopoly. If you own all the properties in a color group, you have a monopoly! This is one of the main goals of the game you can easily ruin other players if you have a monopoly. Players with a monopoly get double the rent on their property, even if there are no buildings on it. The point is to show how easy it is to control prices when you own everything.

If you have a monopoly, you can start building houses on any of these properties to charge higher rents. You can find the building prices in your deed to the property. You can build up to four houses on your monopoly. Buildings significantly increase the rent on your property. For example, the first property on the board, Mediterranean Avenue, rents for $2 without any buildings. When you build four houses, you can charge $160 for each player who lands on them. You must build evenly you cannot build one house on one property in your monopoly and no houses on the others. If you buy one building for a property, you must buy one for each property in your monopoly. >Build a hotel after you have built four houses.

The most profitable buildings you can add to your property are hotels. After you have built four houses, you can buy hotels from the bank and replace the houses with them. Landing on a field with a hotel is often the end game for many players.

Every time a player crosses the corner box marked "START," they receive a $200 bonus. This is a great way to add some money to your reserves! According to the official rules, you only get $200 for passing the GO square, but many people let you collect even if you just landed on the GO point.
