Piece of Cake: Merge and Bake

Getting fired from her job, breaking up with her boyfriend—it seemed like everything in Emily’s life was falling apart, until she suddenly received a letter from her grandfather inviting her to come visit. This trip becomes an opportunity for her to return to her hometown and, as she hopes, start her life a little differently. In the game “Piece of Cake: Merge and Bake,” her journey turns into a real adventure in the “match-three” genre. Our heroine must restore an old family café and, along the way, uncover secrets the town has kept hidden for many years.

How to play?

The game is based on merge mechanics—you need to drag and match identical items on the board to create upgraded ingredients, baked goods, desserts, and coffee. The finished products unlock new recipes and fulfill orders from café patrons, while the money earned goes toward restoring the café and the entire mansion, which features twenty-one locations waiting to be renovated. For every piece of interior decor you restore, you earn energy points—you’ll need these to cook dishes in the kitchen. At first, the menu is quite small—just sandwiches and waffles—but as the game progresses, the list of recipes grows to include coffee, sweet drinks, and various baked goods. In the upper-left corner of the screen is a progress bar that shows how much more needs to be done before the next location unlocks.
