Toma & Roma: My Yard

Welcome to the charming backyard of friends who live on one of the streets in a small town. The game “Toma & Roma: My Yard” opens the door to the summer of the ’80s. Next to the house at 12 Vesennaya Street stands a blue mailbox labeled “POST,” and next to it, the mailman keeps an eye on his packages. Neighbors are relaxing on a bench by a table, pigeons are strutting importantly near a cart of kvass, and a car is parked on the sidewalk—just as you’d expect in a typical courtyard from those years. Toma and Roma live in a Khrushchev-era apartment building with their grandparents, along with their cat Barsik and their “cosmonaut” dog. For the kids, the courtyard has long been a whole world of its own, and just beyond the building’s entrance are a grocery store, a school, a Pioneer camp, and even a spaceport. Embark on a little journey with these cute friends and complete interesting tasks together with them.

How to play?

You can drag and drop characters and objects directly on the screen. Drop Roma onto the couch, and he’ll sit down; if you put him on the bed, he’ll fall asleep. If you send him to the car, he’ll hop in without a second thought. Just bring Tome some ice cream from the fridge or a soda, and she’ll start eating or drinking right away. Take care of the cute characters by putting a hat on them or giving them toys. Tap the stove, TV, phone, the “Start” button, and the soda machine. Then the kettle will whistle, a record will play on the radio, and you can swing the swing with the “sun” button. If you swipe your finger across an empty spot, you can explore the entire yard. There’s plenty to keep you busy here for a long time: for example, draw something with chalk on the blackboard, roast potatoes over a campfire, or launch a rocket into orbit, where everything floats in zero gravity. Together with Toma and Roma, you must find 30 secret badges. One of them is a small gift, already visible in the album, and the task to get it will be very simple. To get this gift, you need to open a package in the mailbox. The album with hints is hidden behind the star on the right, and a lightbulb will tell you what to do next. As you make discoveries, new locations will unlock in the top-left corner of the map. At first, you’ll have access to the apartment and the courtyard, then the grocery store, the school, the camp, and the spaceport. From time to time, a package with a surprise appears in the courtyard, so check in with the mailman often to receive surprises.
