Colored Items

Learning colors works best with pictures that children already know. Colored Items gives preschoolers a color-learning game for ages 4 and up, pairing shades with everyday things such as fruit, animals, food, and toys. A split screen sets the activity in front of the child. One side shows the target shade. The other side displays several pictures painted in different colors. A yellow lemon might appear beside white milk or a gray elephant. A red apple may sit near a pink ball or a black crow.

How to play?

Tap the pictures that match the shade shown on the left side of the screen. Finding all matching objects finishes the current round and brings up a new color. Picture groups change from round to round, teaching color names through direct matching instead of memorizing words alone.
