Light Heavy Game

Weight decides every comparison here. Light Heavy Game gives preschoolers a playful way to sort objects and living creatures by what they weigh. Children ages 3 to 4 meet picture pairs and learn that a stone, a ship, or a stack of books doesn't weigh the same as the item beside it. Material also changes the answer. A child sees that weight belongs to every object and every creature.

How to play?

Look at the two pictures and pick the heavier item or the lighter one, depending on the question. Pairs may show objects such as a table and a briefcase, or a stone beside scissors. Scales appear in some tasks. Compare both sides and choose the side with more weight. Five books on one side and two on the other make the larger stack heavier. Early rounds use easy comparisons. Later tasks place several items on the scales, and you add their weight before making a choice.
