Mushroom Hunting: Forest Search

Days in the village begin with trips into the forest. In Mushroom Hunting: Forest Search, gather mushrooms, dry them, pickle them for winter, or cook dishes to sell to your neighbors. The atlas holds 63 mushroom species, from common porcini to fly agarics. Each one is identified by four traits: cap, stem, base, and cross-section. Some edible mushrooms closely resemble poisonous ones. Read the description before adding a find to your basket. Mushrooms fall into four rarity tiers. Common species appear in every clearing. Legendary finds like the white truffle and the morel take longer to track down. Summer shifts into fall, then winter, then spring. Progress grows through villager quests, market sales, hunter rankings, achievements, a kitchen, and a pantry for stored supplies. Save 100,000 coins, fill the atlas, build friendships with every villager, and earn your own mushroom shop.

How to play?

Press “Into the Forest” and search the leaves and grass for mushrooms. Check the field guide for the cap, stem, base, and cross-section. Then choose whether to place the mushroom in your basket or leave it behind. Picking a poisonous mushroom sends you to the herbalist for help. Finish villager requests, sell your harvest at the market, and unlock new forest areas for foraging. Store mushrooms for later use, dry them, or pickle them for winter.
