A party is brewing in the Mushroom Kingdom. In Game Boy Advance: Mario Party Advance, Mario heads for Shroom City after getting worn out from constant fights with monsters and hearing that the locals have set aside time for a celebration. The route to that break doesn't run straight to the venue. A car rolls across a large city map, and the trip through town fills up with errands from the people Mario meets. One request points him toward the station. Another lead sends him across the city in search of the next job.

Drive across the wide area and visit the spots tied to each errand. At the station, pass a test to earn a train ticket. After that, return to the earlier place and show the ticket to the character waiting there. That exchange points to the next quest. Move from location to location, finish the assigned missions, and reach the party to enter its mini-games.
