10, 9, 7… FIRE!

An alien crew stands at a space station, passing countdown numbers from one member to the next. In 10, 9, 7… FIRE!, each crew member has a button in front of them. Spot the alien who says the wrong number and hit that button before the round resets. Different species use different counting rules. A number that sounds wrong at first may be correct for that alien, which is why the broken sequence in the title is part of the puzzle.

How to play?

Watch the crew and listen to each spoken number. Press the button under the crew member who actually makes a mistake. One tap is enough. Work out which number should come next, then judge that answer by the species' rule set. A wrong pick resets the attempt at once. Waiting too long does the same. Track the pattern, identify the alien who's off the sequence, and help the crew reach launch.
