Square Boxing

Chunky pixel fighters square up under the lights. In Square Boxing, the ring strips boxing down to blocky visuals and direct one-on-one bouts. The retro look stays in the background. A computer-controlled boxer waits in one mode, and local matches with a friend fill the other.

How to play?

Circle the ring, block incoming shots, and throw different punches when an opening appears. Standard movement covers positioning near your rival. Several punch types give you options for different moments in the exchange. Against the computer fighter, read his shape and training before committing to offense. With another player beside you, pick the two-player match and trade rounds on the same screen. Rushing forward leaves room for missed hits or a full punching sequence from the other boxer. Wait for the right distance, land the strike, push for the knockout, then run it back in as many rematches as you want.
