Autumn Words: Letter Soup

The game “Autumn Words: Letter Soup” is an educational word-search game that combines English language learning with an autumn theme. On the left side of the screen is a square grid of letters, and on the right are 12 autumn-themed pictures: an umbrella, a squirrel, an acorn, a mushroom, a hedgehog, a pumpkin, and other recognizable images of this season. The goal is to find a word in the letter grid that matches one of the pictures and match the found word with the corresponding image. Letters can form words horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in any direction, which requires attentiveness and the ability to quickly scan the grid in different directions. The game is designed for children ages six to ten and helps build English vocabulary while training attention, memory, and visual perception. You have five minutes to complete the game; the faster you find all the words, the higher your final score will be. The letters on the grid are shuffled anew each time you start a new round.

How to play?

Click or drag the letters that make up the target word, searching for the correct sequence in any of the eight directions on the grid. Once you find a word, match it with the corresponding picture on the right, which depicts an autumn object or phenomenon. Continue searching for the remaining words, using the pictures as a guide and planning your search route across the letter grid. Try to find all twelve words as quickly as possible before the allotted 5 minutes run out, and return to the game to try your hand at a new, shuffled grid.
